Hey guys, I was wonder if you guys could help me find a BLACK on BlACK die cast/hot wheels of a 4th Gen Cadillac Seville, like this:

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

only you know Black. or even a small hot wheels like version would be cool too. I’m leaving my current job to either another position with in my company(which is what I want) or I have an offer at another company (which I’ll take but would rather the internal job) and I wanted to get my manager a nice thank you gift for all he’s done for me over the past few years. He sold me my last Seville and we both share a bond over them so it would be nice to give him a little gift and a card when I leave and I’d rally like one of these, but it’s gotta be black!

thanks for your help!

After doing a bit of online research, it seems the Anson 1/18 is literally the only option.

Other companies have done diecast Sevilles, but not of the 4th generation...not even Maisto, which surprises me since they have a similar era DeVille available in 1/64.

But for the 4th generation, it’s Anson or nothing...literally.

yeah, that’s what I’m finding too. But I can not find a black on any where for sale!

It’s kind of perplexing really the STS was (at the time) a big deal of sorts. figure there has to be some model of it out there, but nope. Looks like only this one that came in red, blue, black and silver. black seeming to be the rarest of the rare on these.

I see in some places saying the one in black is discontinued. No worry though, LaLD knows fully well about customizing . Get the blue one and get working!

As a model enthusiast all I can tell you is paint it. They are not that hard and it is a diecast. Rough up what ever color you buy and get some Tamiya acrylic paint and clear and have at it. Not too hard to take it apart and complete this.

Plus you earn bonus points for doing something extra cool!

yeah I was thinking painting may be an option, but I’m not very artistic and worry about finished quality.

My rebuttal to that is don’t worry. You will inherently paint it better than the model manufacturer did, and you can even paint it better than GM would have as well.

I have Ferrari models that I have painted that make real Ferrari’s look like crap. All manufacturers (well most of them minus the really nice makes) have orange peel and less than perfect paint.

I say go for it. Seriously, it is not that hard. If you are not happy then strip it and try again.

Yes you could....

Go to here and you can buy a spray can of factory paint and be done. Get a can of clear and you are finished unless you buff and polish.

I have used this company as they match perfectly.

I await your response and to hear you ARE doing this, lol.

Muhahhhhaaaaahhaaaaaa hhhaaaa!!!

Yes, I did try to get you to do it. You will enjoy it.

Heck, I did this for a buddy and his Hyundai Genesis coupe and it was a 1/64 Hotwheels. I replaced the windows with thin plastic, filled in some bodywork, and painted it to match. I then hand painted the headlights - you get the idea.

When you finish this one start looking into Tamiya model kits and then you are on your way!!!
